Talking to media, Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone said that he believes the Bahrain government were "stupid in a lot of ways" to host a Grand Prix, because of the opportunity it gives to political protesters.
The race has become a target for protestors in a Gulf kingdom affected by civil unrest.
